The 13th ECOTROPHELIA National Competition of eco-innovative food products took place on June 21st, in Athens. The Competition is organized in Greece by SEVT, since 2011.
This year, 11 groups of students reached the final phase. You may see the products catalogue, a video with the products, the video of the Awarding Ceremony and other photos.
The winners of this year’s competition were:
1st award for the product Peelaste, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens / Dpt. of Chemistry. Innovative and ecological crackers made from potato peels in sweet and salty versions for any time!
2nd award, the product Ceres Ale, Agricultural University of Athens / Dpt. Food Science & Human Nutrition. A functional beer, an ally of health with a unique taste.
3rd award, the product Airy Berry, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens / Dpt. of Chemistry. Airy fruit puffs combined with cereal to upgrade the topping!
The award for the “Best Presentation” and for the “Best Commercial & Marketing Plan” was given to the product Verky, of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki / Chemical Engineering Dpt. High protein RTE savory vegan snack, based on vegetables, with an innovative texture.
The winners will represent our country at the ECOTROPHELIA 2023 European Competition at ANUGA in Cologne.
